Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Meet your safari guide in Nairobi for a short briefing before departing for Amboseli National Park. This park is famous for its herds of elephants and spectacular backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The journey takes about five hours, passing through scenic countryside landscapes. On arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner before your overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli

Start the day with an early morning game drive before breakfast to spot predators such as hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, and wild dogs.

After breakfast, continue with a full-day game drive across the park to see elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions, crocodiles, and many more animals. Amboseli is also home to bird species such as the crowned crane, herons, and the African fish eagle. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Head to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, leave Amboseli and drive to Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania, crossing the Namanga border. Pass through Arusha Town as you head toward Lake Manyara.

Enjoy the scenic views along the way before arriving at your lodge. Lake Manyara is known for its rare tree-climbing lions and large numbers of flamingos. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park to spot zebras, giraffes, impalas, elephants, hippos, and leopards.

Later, drive to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most popular and wildlife-rich parks. On the way, stop at Olduvai Gorge, where fossils of early humans were discovered. Arrive in Serengeti in the evening, check in at your lodge, and enjoy dinner and rest.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the open plains of Serengeti National Park. This park is home to the Big Five and is famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration.

You will see lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, gazelles, and zebras, along with birds such as flamingos, eagles, and vultures. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue with your game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, go for one last morning game drive in Serengeti, then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area contains the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera and is home to over 30,000 animals, including the Big Five.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, enjoy dinner, and spend the night overlooking the crater.

Day 7: Full Day in Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater floor is rich in wildlife, with elephants, black rhinos, leopards, lions, buffaloes, zebras, and warthogs.

Bird watchers can enjoy over 300 species, including flamingos and ostriches. In the evening, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, enjoy your final views of Ngorongoro before driving to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the airport or your preferred location, marking the end of your 8 Days Amboseli Tanzania Safari.
