Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Tanzania
Your Tanzanian safari guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and drive you to your hotel in Arusha for your first night in Tanzania. Check in, relax, and spend the rest of the day at leisure as you prepare for your safari adventure the next day.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the first destination on your 7-day safari. This park is known for its rare tree-climbing lions and the large soda lake that covers about two-thirds of its area.
During your game drive, expect to see troops of baboons, elephants, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and hippos. The lake is often surrounded by flocks of pink flamingos and other aquatic birds, making it a perfect place for bird watching.
Day 3–4: Serengeti National Park
Next, explore the wide open plains of Serengeti National Park, the most popular and visited park in Tanzania. These plains are home to many animals and bird species and are famous for hosting the Great Wildebeest Migration each year.
Spend two days exploring Serengeti on game drives and look out for the Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. If you wish, you can also enjoy a hot air balloon safari for a unique view of the park.
Day 5–6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for another exciting wildlife experience. The area is known for the Ngorongoro Crater, a large unbroken caldera that shelters many animal and bird species.
Enjoy a game drive on the crater floor, where you may see lions, elephants, zebras, and many other animals. Later, visit the crater rim to enjoy the panoramic views of this beautiful landscape.
Day 7: Arusha Airport – Departure
After an early breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to your next destination. You can choose to continue your holiday in Zanzibar for a relaxing beach stay or take a flight back home.
