Detailed Tsavo Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park
You will be picked up from your resort or beach hotel in Mombasa by our company representative and begin your drive to Tsavo East National Park, the largest national park in Kenya.
On arrival, enjoy some refreshments before heading out for your first game drive. The park’s open plains and sparse vegetation make it easy to spot wildlife.
Return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and other animals that live in Tsavo East. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
Start your day with an early morning game drive in Tsavo East, where you may spot predators returning from their night hunts. Return to your lodge for breakfast and then begin your journey to Tsavo West National Park, enjoying an en-route game drive as you cross from one park to the other.
After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive in Tsavo West and look for animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, leopards, and buffaloes. You will also visit Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos and crocodiles in clear waters, and stop by the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary for a chance to see these shy animals. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 3: Back to Mombasa
After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Tsavo West National Park for a final chance to see big cats and other animals. Visit Mzima Springs if you didn’t the previous day, then start your journey back to Mombasa.
You will arrive in Mombasa later in the afternoon, marking the end of your 3 Days Tsavo East and West Safari.
