Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara – Game Drive
Depart from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The drive takes about four hours through beautiful landscapes, farmlands, and local villages. Along the way, you will have several chances for great photography.
On arrival, begin your game drive through the park. Look out for the famous tree-climbing lions, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. The park also offers great birdwatching opportunities and scenic views around the lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Central Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, with a game drive en route. Serengeti is one of Africa’s best-known parks and is home to large herds of animals and endless savannah plains.
On arrival, go for an afternoon game drive across the central plains. You may spot buffalos, elephants, wildebeests, cheetahs, gazelles, giraffes, and many other animals. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive in Central Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro
Start your day with an early morning game drive through the Serengeti plains to spot animals you might have missed the previous day. The soft morning light offers perfect conditions for photography.
Later, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a place known for its large volcanic crater, which forms one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Africa. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: 5-Hour Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 5-hour game drive. The crater floor is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your tour before ascending from the crater and driving back to Arusha, marking the end of your 4-day Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Manyara Safari.
