Detailed 4 Days Tsavo National Park Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park by Road

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up and driven along the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway. Upon arrival in Tsavo West National Park, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Expect to see elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, warthogs, and many bird species during this drive before returning to your lodge in the evening.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, begin a full day of wildlife viewing in Tsavo West. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park as you continue exploring its natural beauty. Animals you may spot include buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, wild dogs, elephants, lesser kudus, giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, dik-diks, bushbucks, and gazelles. This is also a great day for photography as you capture the beauty of the park’s landscapes and animals.

Day 3: Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park

Enjoy an early morning tea or coffee before checking out and driving toward Tsavo East National Park, the eastern section divided by the railway line. Enjoy an en-route game drive before arriving at your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive where you may see elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs, hartebeests, and many antelopes roaming across the savanna plains.

Day 4: Game Drive and Departure from Tsavo East

After breakfast, go for a final morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Look out for giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, lions (famous as the man-eaters of Tsavo), leopards, rhinos, and various bird species. After the drive, return to your lodge for check-out or continue your journey to Mombasa, marking the end of your 4 Days Tsavo National Park Safari.
