Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Meet your safari guide at the airport with a warm welcome and a short briefing about your trip. You will then begin your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s top tourist destinations.
Along the way, enjoy a brief city tour of Nairobi, where you can buy any last-minute items, have lunch, and explore the capital. The drive to Nakuru takes about five to six hours through scenic landscapes and the Great Rift Valley, where you can stop for photos.
Arrive in the evening for refreshments, an optional game drive, dinner, and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive
Wake up early for coffee and head out for a full day of game viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy a bush breakfast and packed lunch as you explore the park.
Lake Nakuru is a paradise for bird lovers and also home to lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and warthogs. The park’s scenery includes wooded hills and open grasslands, perfect for wildlife photography.
After a day filled with adventure, return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, check out and drive for about four to five hours to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous park known for its lions and the annual wildebeest migration.
Enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley and farmlands along the way. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, go on a game drive to spot elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and other animals before returning for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, spend the entire day exploring Masai Mara. The park is home to many animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Bird lovers can look out for ostriches, flamingos, and the Kori bustard.
Visit the Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos can be seen, especially during the migration season when wildebeests cross the river. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park via Isebania Border
After breakfast, check out for your long drive to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Cross through Isebania Border Post, complete immigration formalities, and continue your journey.
Enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, local villages, and the beautiful countryside. Stop for lunch en route, then proceed to your lodge in Serengeti for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Evening Cultural Encounter
Start your day with breakfast, then go for a three to four-hour morning game drive through Serengeti National Park. Look for wildebeests, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, lions, and rhinos. Take photos and enjoy the beautiful open plains.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life. Join in their dances before returning to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 7: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater – Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s natural wonders and home to a high concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos.
Optionally, you can stop at Olduvai Gorge to learn about human history before continuing to Ngorongoro for lunch. In the evening, enjoy a game drive as you look for nocturnal animals like hyenas and leopards. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8: Morning Crater Rim Hike and Departure
After morning coffee, go for a crater rim hike to enjoy beautiful views of Ngorongoro and spot animals and primates along the trail.
