Detailed 3 Days Masai Mara Balloon Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up early from your hotel by our professional driver-guide in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Begin your journey southwards to Masai Mara National Reserve, a drive of about 5 hours and 20 minutes.
On arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, head out for an evening game drive to spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, and wildebeests. Return to your lodge by 6:00 p.m. for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Hot Air Balloon Safari and Game Drive
Wake up early at around 5:00 a.m. for your hot air balloon adventure. Take off just before sunrise and glide over the vast savanna grasslands and woodlands of Masai Mara. The view from above allows you to see herds of animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests moving across the plains.
After the flight, enjoy a bush breakfast in the wild before returning to your lodge to relax. After lunch, go for another afternoon game drive across the Mara plains to look for more wildlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer Back to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and start your journey back to Nairobi. The drive takes about five hours and twenty minutes. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport, marking the end of your Masai Mara Balloon Safari.
