Detailed 3 Days Samburu National Park Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Samburu National Park
After breakfast in Nairobi, you will be picked up by your guide and begin the 4-hour journey (about 293 kilometers) to Samburu National Park.
On arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing and watching animals from your balcony or taking a short walk around the lodge area. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner at around 7:00 p.m. and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 2: Game Drives and Bird Watching
Have an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in the Samburu wilderness. You will see wildlife such as lions, leopards, elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, and other animals along the riverbanks and open plains.
Later in the day, enjoy bird watching where you may spot rare and colorful species such as turacos, Abyssinian ground hornbills, egrets, hammerkops, secretary birds, and African fish eagles. In the late afternoon, take a guided nature walk through the grasslands and woodlands. Return to your lodge by 6:00 p.m. for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Community Encounters and Transfer Back to Nairobi
After breakfast, visit the Samburu communities in the northern part of the park. Meet the local Loikop (Samburu) people, take part in their dances, learn about their traditions, and interact with them to gain a deeper understanding of their way of life.
Lunch will be served at around 1:30 p.m. Afterward, begin your 4-hour journey back to Nairobi, marking the end of your 3 Days Samburu National Park Safari.
