Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Leave Arusha for Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by your driver guide and begin your journey to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations.
If you arrive early, you will enjoy an evening game drive to begin your search for wildlife, especially the Big Five. Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes as well as other animals roaming freely in the open plains.
Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or campsite inside Serengeti National Park.
Day 2: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. You will have a packed lunch and enjoy game drives through different areas of the park, where you will encounter herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and many antelope species such as elands, topis, and wildebeests.
If your visit coincides with the migration season, you will witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras moving across the savannah in search of fresh grazing grounds.
Enjoy picnic lunch in the wild and continue with your afternoon game drive as you watch the sunset over the Serengeti plains. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, leave Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a rewarding game drive, where you can expect excellent wildlife viewing.
Look out for cheetahs, jackals, elephants, bushbucks, elands, hartebeests, impalas, zebras, and various bird species around the crater floor.
After your game drive, continue your journey back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
