Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, meet your professional safari guide and board a 4×4 safari vehicle. Begin your journey to Masai Mara National Park, which takes about five and a half hours. Upon arrival, have lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, around 3:00 pm, go for your first game drive through Olormotonyi and Motorogi Conservancy. Enjoy viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. Later, return to your lodge in Aitong town for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drives in the North of Masai Mara
Have an early breakfast at around 6:00 am, then drive to Enonkish and Olchorro areas for a full-day game drive. These parts of Masai Mara are rich in wildlife and beautiful savannah landscapes.
Enjoy lunch at Lamek before continuing your afternoon game drive through Ololituroto, Serian plains, and Kichwa. In the evening, head back to your lodge in Kichwa for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game Drives and Boat Cruise
Start your day with breakfast at 6:00 am and head out for another exciting game drive through the Mara Triangle. Look out for animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and blue wildebeests.
Lunch will be served in the middle of the park. Afterward, drive along Burungati Plains and visit the Talek River for possible wildebeest river crossings, depending on the season. Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Fly to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, take a flight to Amboseli National Park, which takes about one and a half hours. On arrival, check in at your lodge and relax for the afternoon. In the evening, you can take an optional game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Game Drive and Cultural Encounter
After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. Enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro and observe elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon visit to a nearby Maasai village. Learn about the Maasai culture, their lifestyle, traditional songs, and dances. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park and Hot Air Balloon Safari
After breakfast at 7:00 am, drive to Tsavo East National Park, which takes about six hours. Upon arrival, have lunch and relax at your lodge.
In the afternoon, around 3:00 pm, enjoy a hot air balloon safari that gives you an aerial view of the park’s vast landscapes, rivers, and wildlife. Return to your lodge around 6:00 pm for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Nairobi
After breakfast at 6:00 am, head out for a morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and the famous Tsavo lions.
Later, begin your drive back to Nairobi, a journey of about four and a half hours (272 kilometers). You will be dropped off at your preferred location or the airport for your departure flight.
