Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup and Nairobi City Tour
Our driver guide will pick you up at the airport to begin your 7 days Masai Mara and Diani Beach safari. After immigration clearance, meet your guide for a short briefing about Kenya and your safari plan.
You will enjoy a welcome drink and transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest. After lunch, explore some of Nairobi’s cultural and historical attractions. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara
After breakfast, begin your journey to Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive passes through small towns and busy local markets. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos before continuing to Narok town for lunch.
From Narok, the road to the park offers great views of farmlands, local homes, and open landscapes. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, have dinner, and rest.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Masai Mara. You will explore different parts of the reserve in search of the Big Five and other animals including elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, and wildebeests.
Enjoy a bush breakfast and picnic lunch in the wild. Visit the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles. You may also spot hyenas, cheetahs, vultures, owls, and other nocturnal species before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Birding Expedition and Masai Cultural Tour
Start your day with a birding experience led by a professional guide. From 7:00 am, explore swamps and open plains for about four hours, spotting different bird species such as ostriches, secretary birds, pelicans, herons, hammerkops, falcons, storks, ibises, ducks, and geese. Learn to identify birds by their colors, songs, and habitats.
Return to the lodge for lunch and later visit the Masai community. Meet the Masai warriors, learn about their traditions, food, and dress style, and join in their traditional dances. Visit the Manyattas and kraals, buy handmade souvenirs, and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Fly to Diani Beach
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Diani Beach. Diani is famous for its long white sand beaches along the Indian Ocean and is one of the best beach destinations in East Africa.
Enjoy scenic views of Kenya’s landscapes during the flight. Upon arrival, check in at your resort, have lunch, relax, and enjoy your evening by the beach.
Day 6: Beach Relaxation
Spend the day relaxing at Diani Beach. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, or simply sitting by the ocean with a refreshing drink. You can also try optional activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, or visiting the Colobus Conservation Center.
