Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Arusha National Park
Start your journey with a drive to Arusha National Park, a small but beautiful park with different landscapes and habitats that support many animals and bird species.
Besides game drives, you can enjoy guided walking safaris or go canoeing on the Momella Lakes. Spend the night inside the park.
Day 2–3: Game Viewing in Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks. During your visit, you may see troops of baboons, herds of elephants, schools of hippos, and flocks of flamingos around the soda lake.
You might also spot the famous tree-climbing lions, a behavior more common among leopards.
Take a canopy walk to enjoy beautiful views of the Rift Valley escarpment. Spend the night at Lake Manyara.
Day 4–5: Game Viewing in Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park is world-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Even when the herds move to Kenya’s Maasai Mara, the park still offers great wildlife sightings throughout the year.
Go on game drives to spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and more. You may also enjoy a hot air balloon safari or visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience.
Day 6–7: Game Viewing in Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, part of the Serengeti ecosystem. It is known for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders.
Descend to the crater floor for game drives where about 30,000 animals live, including lions, zebras, buffaloes, and rhinos.
You can also take a guided walk along the crater rim or visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important archaeological sites in Africa. Spend the night in the Ngorongoro area.
Day 8–9: Game Viewing in Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that runs through it. The river attracts many animals during the dry season, offering great game viewing along its banks.
You will see large herds of elephants, sometimes up to 300 in one group, as well as other animals and many bird species.
Spend the night inside the park and enjoy the quiet wilderness of Tarangire.
Day 10: End of Safari
Enjoy your last morning in the wild before driving back to Arusha for your flight or onward journey.
