Detailed Itinerary
Day 1–7: Mount Kilimanjaro Hike to Uhuru Peak (5,895m)
You will spend the first 7 days of your trip hiking Mount Kilimanjaro. The climb follows the Machame Route, which is the most popular and scenic path to the summit. It offers great views and a high chance of reaching the top.
Your hike begins at the Machame Gate and passes through different vegetation zones such as the rainforest, moorland, heath, alpine desert, and the arctic zone at the summit. Along the way, you will cross the famous Shira Plateau. The descent follows the Mweka Route through Mweka Camp to the Mweka Gate.
Day 3 is reserved for acclimatization, while Day 6 is your summit day.
Your overnight stops will be at Machame Camp, Shira 2 Camp, Barranco Camp, Karanga Camp, Barafu Camp (the last camp before the summit), and Mweka Camp.
On Day 7, you will descend the mountain and meet your driver at the gate. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Moshi for a night of rest, celebration, and receiving your summit certificate.
Day 8–9: Flight to Zanzibar & Beach Holiday
After completing the 7-day climb, you will enjoy some well-deserved rest on Zanzibar Island. Early in the morning, your driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
Spend two relaxing days at the beach, with optional activities such as a tour of Stone Town, a visit to Prison Island, snorkeling, diving, jet skiing, or a dolphin tour.
Day 10: End of Safari
On the final day, have breakfast at your hotel and later transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
