In the evening, you can take an optional city tour to visit shopping centers, cultural attractions, and traditional sites. Nairobi is a busy modern city with good infrastructure and security. Be cautious when taking photos in restricted areas. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 2: Drive to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for large herds of elephants, antelopes, and predators. Enjoy views of farmlands, hills, and the countryside along the way. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at your lodge, and relax.
In the evening, take a guided nature walk to enjoy the sunset and see the park’s plants and scenery.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Amboseli. Search for the Big Five — lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, and elephants. Elephants are the most common in this park. Rangers will help you learn about the animals and their behavior.
Enjoy a bush breakfast and lunch in the wild before returning to the lodge in the evening. Amboseli is one of Kenya’s most popular parks, offering great views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Have dinner and rest after a long day.
Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, home to flamingos and other mammals. Enjoy scenic views of plantations, hills, and local villages. Stop for lunch along the way and continue to your lodge, arriving by sunset for dinner and rest. If you arrive early, you can join an optional activity at the lodge.
Day 5: Bird Watching and Boat Ride
After breakfast, go bird watching with your ranger guide. From early morning, search for different bird species around the lake, including the famous pink flamingos and many other water birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds along the shores. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Hell’s Gate National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Hell’s Gate National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through farmlands and small towns. Arrive at your lodge early, check in, and have lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing or take a short walk around the community. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Hell’s Gate National Park to Lake Nakuru
Start the day with coffee and a guided nature walk for about three hours. Explore the park’s hot springs and the geothermal station while learning about the area from your guide. After the walk, return to the lodge for lunch, check out, and drive to Lake Nakuru. Enjoy the countryside views before arriving for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Look for warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and wildebeests. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are also present though harder to spot. Observe birds, plants, and landscapes during the drive.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then enjoy a relaxing boat cruise in the afternoon. Watch hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds before returning to the lodge for dinner and rest.
