Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will clear with immigration and meet our company representative. After a short briefing about your safari and a welcome drink, you will start your scenic drive to Ruaha National Park, which takes about 2–3 hours.

Along the way, enjoy views of plantations, farmlands, rivers, and scattered villages. On arrival, check in at your lodge and relax. Lunch will be served, followed by an evening game drive with an armed ranger guide.

During this night game drive, look out for nocturnal animals such as hyenas, lions, hippos, and owls. Listen to the evening sounds of the wilderness before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive and Bird Watching

Wake up early for a morning game drive around the open savanna of Ruaha National Park. The 3–4-hour drive gives you a chance to see both predators and grazers such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, kudus, impalas, bushbucks, and roan antelopes.

Your ranger guide will share interesting facts about these animals, including their behavior and habitats. Ruaha’s landscape also provides a perfect background for photography.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before lunch. In the evening, you will enjoy birdwatching in one of the park’s best birding areas.

Ruaha is home to over 500 bird species, including the African fish eagle, crested barbet, Goliath heron, emerald-spotted wood dove, Eleanor’s falcon, black-billed bustard, and many more. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, check out from your lodge and drive back to Dar es Salaam for your flight or onward journey. Before departure, our team will bid you farewell and ensure you have everything you need.
