Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from the airport or your accommodation in Arusha or Moshi by your tour guide and begin your scenic drive to Serengeti National Park. The journey passes through the Karatu Highlands and Ngorongoro area before entering the Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate.
Here, you can take a short walk to the viewpoint for beautiful views of the park. Continue to your accommodation inside Serengeti with a game drive along the way.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend the day exploring Serengeti National Park, the home of the Great Wildebeest Migration. During this full-day game drive, you will have a chance to see millions of wildebeests, thousands of zebras, and many other grazing animals moving across the plains in search of water and green grass.
These herds are followed by predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, hyenas, and crocodiles near the Grumeti River. You can also choose to enjoy a hot air balloon safari or visit a Maasai community on this day.
Day 3–4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy one last game drive in Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, take an afternoon game drive to explore the areas around the crater rim and nearby plains.
The next day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive at the crater floor. This natural wonder is home to many animals, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras, and hippos. Keep your camera ready for special sightings and enjoy the scenic views. You will also visit the Olduvai Gorge and a local community before returning to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 5–7: Fly to Zanzibar – Beach Holiday
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha to catch your flight to Zanzibar for your beach holiday.
Once you arrive, relax and enjoy the white sandy beaches and clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Spend your days swimming, snorkeling, diving, or taking beach walks. You can also visit popular attractions such as Stone Town, Jozani Forest, Prison Island, the Old Fort, or the Anglican Cathedral. A spice tour or dolphin-watching excursion can also be arranged.
You are free to choose how to spend your time according to your interests. Overnights will be at your beach resort.
Day 8: Flight Back Home – End of Safari
Enjoy your last tropical breakfast in Zanzibar. You will then be transferred to the airport for your flight back home, marking the end of your safari.
