Detailed 3-Day Jinja Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Sipi Falls via Jinja
After breakfast on the first day of your 3 Days Jinja and Sipi Falls Tour, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala at 7:00 am for the journey to Sipi Falls, located on the slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda.
You will pass through Lugazi’s tea and sugarcane plantations and Mabira Forest. Stop to visit Sezibwa Falls, then continue to Jinja for a short boat cruise to the source of the River Nile. Have lunch in Jinja and proceed to Sipi Falls in the Elgon region.
Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Hike to Sipi Falls, Optional Abseiling, and Coffee Tour
After breakfast on the second day of your 3 Days Jinja and Sipi Falls Adventure Holiday, start a 2-3-hour guided hike to explore the three waterfalls that make up Sipi Falls.
The falls can be seen from a distance, but to fully appreciate their beauty, you need to hike closer to where the water drops about 70 meters from a high cliff, forming a natural pool below.
If you wish, try abseiling for a bird’s-eye view of the falls, then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a coffee tour to learn how the famous Arabica coffee is grown, processed, and prepared by local farmers on the slopes of Mount Elgon.
If time allows, you can also try rock climbing on the cliffs near Sipi. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Visit the Jewish Centre and Return to Kampala
After breakfast on the last day of your 3 Days Jinja and Sipi Falls Safari Holiday, visit the historical Jewish Centre in Mbale to learn about the history and traditions of the Jewish community in Uganda.
After the visit, continue the journey back to Kampala through Jinja, stopping for lunch along the way.
