Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your driver guide will welcome you and brief you about the trip. You will then drive for about four hours to Uganda through the Katuna border in Kabale District.

The journey offers views of the Virunga volcanoes and beautiful countryside. After crossing the border, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Experience

After breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing before gorilla trekking begins. The ranger will explain the rules to follow during the trek.

As you move through the forest, you may see mother gorillas feeding their babies and silverbacks playing or resting. The trek may take one to three hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. Bring a camera and binoculars to capture the moments.

After lunch, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional way of life through dances, storytelling, and local food. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha and Kazinga Boat Cruise

After breakfast, drive north to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions that rest on fig tree branches.

Continue to your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and different bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. The best time to see animals is early in the morning when they are most active.

Return to the lodge for lunch, check out, and drive to Kibale Forest National Park. The park is known for its large population of primates and offers a peaceful nature experience. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Visit

After breakfast, go for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. The park is home to 13 primate species, including red colobus monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Before the trek, attend a short briefing at the visitor center.

Guided by rangers, walk through the forest to find chimpanzees and observe them for an hour in their natural habitat. You are almost guaranteed to see them here.

Return to the lodge for lunch, then visit Bigodi Swamp in the afternoon. The wetland is a great place to see more primates, birds, and local people going about their daily activities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure via Entebbe International Airport
